The 33 year-old is due to wed Paul Michael following their recent engagement, but cannot legally do so without the legal permission of a judge in her conservatorship case, as well as her mother Lynn.
The legal requirements come after Amanda's well-documented struggle with substance abuse, which has landed her on the wrong side of the law on several occasions.
Now, it's emerged that her mother doesn't approve of the engagement and will therefore block the nuptials, as reported by TMZ.
Explaining how the process works, Neama Rahmani, the president of West Coast Trial Lawyers, recently said: "As Amanda's conservator, her mother has responsibility over her daughter's decision-making, including whether or not to allow her to marry.
"If Amanda's parents did not consent to the marriage, they can petition the court to annul the marriage on the basis of Amanda's 'unsound mind.'"
