The pair went their separate ways last year after a brief engagement, and the reality star has since claimed his relationship with the TV presenter was "very toxic".
He wrote on his Instagram Stories: "It's exactly a year tomorrow since I left a very toxic relationship and got away. Leaving probably saved my life.
"I mark it one year on by doing something I probably should have done a while ago."
The 26 year-old recently had his 'CF' tattoo, which was an ode to his former fiancée, covered up by a map of Australia, where he now lives.
Sharing the news he wrote: "I heart Australia," and after the initials were no longer visible, he added: "It's finally gone".
The 'Love Island' presenter has also moved on with her life and says she is enjoying dating again.
