According to insiders, the former model has been repeatedly messaging Peter, asking whether he's content with his doctor wife Emily Andre.
The insider told new! magazine: "A few weeks ago Katie messages Pete asking him to get back with her. He thought it was some kind of joke, but she kept sending him more messages asking him if he's happy with Emily and if he thinks about them giving things another go."
The mum of five is reportedly hanging on to the prospect of a reconciliation with her former husband, the father of Junior, 14, and Princess, 12.
The source continued: "She seems to have it in her head they're not done, but Pete would never even think about getting back with Katie. He found the whole thing a bit cringe."
