Now a mother-of-one with husband Offset, the rapper has always been motivated to succeed and create a stable home and upbringing for her little girl.
Speaking to Vogue magazine for the '73 questions' segment, the 27 year-old explained: "What kept me going is I wanted to have children and I needed to be stable. In order for me to spoil my child for the rest of my life, I have to have money and make money for the rest of my life."
Cardi gushed about her husband, who she adores for helping her always feel secure.
"I love that man," she said of Offset, whom she split form briefly last year.
