The actor separated from his wife of 22 years in late 2017 and later formed a relationship with his 'Fargo' co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Now the dust has settled from the dramatic change in his life, Ewan feels a lot better and happier with how things are going.
When an interviewer for Men's Journal commented that he looked "noticeably lighter" since their previous meeting, he confessed: "Lighter? Today? As opposed to then? I am better. I am happier. I think that's true."
Eve publicly expressed her disappointment in early 2018 when her then-husband filed for divorce, and was not impressed with his Golden Globes speech when he thanked both her and his current girlfriend while accepting the award for Best Actor in a Limited Series.
Ewan said at the time: "I want to take a moment to say thank you to Eve. Who always stood by me for 22 years. To my four children, Clara, Ester, Jamyan and Anouk, I love you. There would be no Ray without Mary Elizabeth Winstead. So thank you very much."
