The 'Downton Abbey' actor married Jessica in January after almost three years together, however his new wife isn't as keen to have such a large brood.
Allen told Red magazine: "I'd love four children. I think the last time I said that to Jess, she said, 'Are they coming out of your womb?'
"So I don't think that's going to happen but we definitely do want a family."
The couple met at a party in 2016 and Allen previously admitted that he instantly fell for Jessica.
