Speculation has surrounded the actor, particularly regarding the timelines of his past relationship with Aisling Bea and current girlfriend Anna. Michael has since taken to social media to squash the cheating rumours.
He wrote on Twitter: "Wouldn't normally respond to this kind of thing but for the sake of people I love and who have more important things to focus on right now...
"I was single from the beginning of last summer until I met my partner Anna who is now going to have our baby. Just for the record. Thanks."
The couple confirmed that were having a baby last month, sharing that they are expecting a "little angel".
Michael also has daughter Lily Mo, aged 20, with his ex-partner Kate Beckinsale.
