The reality star wants to fall pregnant in January, in order to fit her family life in with her MTV filming schedule.
The couple, who both feature on 'The Hills: New Beginnings' are already parents to son Gunner, 22 months.
Speaking to the New York Post about her plans to expand her brood, Heidi said: "I asked MTV when would be the best time to get pregnant and they said, 'Right around January!' That's when I wanted it anyway, so it works out perfectly, because we're not filming."
The 32-year-old's tendency to plan comes as no surprise after Spencer previously revealed she initially struggled leaving Gunner's side. He said at the time: "Heidi was a very, very intense-attachment parent. I'm sure some would say extreme, but to me it was just being a super mom. She had not left Gunner even for five seconds for, like, almost a year to that point."
