The actress and comedian made a nod to the new royal baby while announcing her own special news, as Duchess Meghan gave birth a few hours later.
Alongside a picture of her cradling the newborn, she wrote on Instagram: "10.55pm last night. Our royal baby was born."
Amy later revealed the tots name by sharing another snap of proud dad Chris holding the newborn, saying: "Gene Attell Fischer and his dad Chris."
While on route to the hospital, the star, who has made light of her pregnancy struggles with various comical social media posts, stood on the stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art where the 2019 Met Gala took place the following day, sporting a casual grey look with trainers and socks.
She quipped: "Met look this year. Last night on the way to the hospital."
