Sex education classes will be adapted according to the pupil's age, with schools ensuring that teaching is "sensitive and age appropriate". Primary school pupils will receive relationships education, while secondary school students will learn about both relationships and sex education. When the topic of various family models is covered, this will include same-sex families. LGBT+ issues, such as damaging stereotypes and sexual orientation or gender, will be taught to older pupils.
