On Saturday 16 February she posted photos on her social media with her new husband looking loved up, donning a white lace wedding gown.
She wrote: "In honor of Valentine's Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for.... me. #theone."
The two-time Grammy winner was previously married to fellow country star and The Voice judge Blake Shelton but they divorced in 2015 after four years of marriage. She hasn't mentioned Brendan, who is a New York police officer, prior to her marriage announcement. It is not confirmed when the ceremony took place.
The couple join the long list of celebrities who have gotten married in secret ceremonies, including Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer and Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadowski.
