Valerie is the wife of Caitlyn’s eldest son Burt Jenner, and the couple also have a two-year-old son together.
The baby's name serves as a touching tribute to Caitlyn, who Burt and Valerie have decided to call William, Caitlyn's given birth name. Caitlyn came out as transgender in 2015, and Burt has stood by Caitlyn's side through her transition.
He previously said: 'I'm very excited (about Caitlyn's gender affirmation). Part of me was screaming to say, 'Hey, I've known for 25 years and I've always been supportive! I always will be.'
Caitlyn took to Instagram to announce the baby news, posting the caption 'Welcome to the world William Behr Jenner. Congratulations @burtonjenner and @valeriepitalo !! Love you guys', accompanied by a picture of her cuddling her newborn grandson.
