The American Idol star's marriage will be legally confirmed on Thursday 07 February, after a judge signed the dissolution of their vows last month, according to TMZ.
The 62-year-old television personality only responded to his wife's divorce filing in August of last year, and although he has offered to pay her spousal support, he requested that they each pay their own legal fees.
Erika filed for divorce in September 2014 after 18 years of marriage and cited "irreconcilable differences" as her reason for the split.
At the time, their son Jordan was a minor and so she had requested full physical custody and joint legal custody of him. However, now Jordan, and his sister Zoe, are both adults, there is no need for any custody arrangements.
