"They are not living together at this time," a source said.
"Sometimes things don't work out the way you hope or want them to."
Robert and Grace wed in 1997 after being together for 10 years.
Following a rocky patch two years in, the actor filed for divorce but later halted the proceedings.
The couple then renewed their vows in 2004.
