The actress has Solo, six, and three-year-old Atom with her partner Robie Uniacke and has vowed not to raise them with a sense of entitlement.
In the new issue of Town & Country magazine, Rosamund revealed: "I want to recreate the childhood that I had for my own children."
She added that this includes using public transport to get around.
"People might recognise me, but I think they just see me as a mother trying to handle small kids on the subway," she said.
The actress gave birth to her second son Atom early and without pain relief on the floor of her mother's apartment, where she just had to let her body "take over".
