It is understood that the teenage model has been given many beauty tips by her 44-year-old mum and is now learning to limit the application of her products to achieve the best results.
Speaking to Glamour magazine, Lila said: "Mum always says, 'Less is more. To go with a fresh face and not use too much bronzer!' So I usually keep my look pretty simple.
"I think it's better not to wear makeup all the time and to take a break, that makes it exciting when you do wear a look.
"If its natural and fresh, that's fine."
16-year-old Lila was recently announced as the new face of Marc Jacobs Beauty and admitted that being an ambassador for the brand is a "dream come true".
