The 38-year-old singer already has two children, Maxwell, six, and Ace, five and is now expecting her third baby.
The star told Entertainment Tonight: "I thought about having another baby, but I didn't really know that it could actually happen.
"This might be a miracle baby," she added.
Jessica added that despite the shock, her older children are overjoyed to be getting a new sibling.
"They're so excited because they're only fourteen months apart, so they didn't experience the excitement of each other.
"But when I told them that we're having another baby, I knew that they'll remember that for the rest of their lives."
Maxwell and Ace are also curious about the pregnancy and are constantly asking Jessica questions, she revealed.
"How does the baby come out? Where does the milk come from?"
The actress announced her pregnancy and the baby's gender on Instagram last month. She wrote: "This little baby girl will make us a family of five. We couldn't be happier to announce this precious blessing of life."
