Arnold Schwarzenegger Apologises For Past Treatment Of Women

Arnold Schwarzenegger has faced various sexual misconduct and cheating scandals, and recently issued another apology for how he treated women in the past.

His comments feature in the October issue of Men's Health.

In 2003, reports emerged that the Terminator star groped several women in past incidents that span 30 years, just days before he won a recall election to become the governor of California.

He later said: "I have misbehaved. And if I've offended anyone, I want to say sorry.

"That was not my intention…what was once considered playful behaviour on a movie set is now considered something else."

In his Men's Health interview, Arnold apologised again: "Looking back, I stepped over the line several times, and I was the first one to say sorry. I feel bad about it, and I apologise.

"When I became governor, I wanted to make sure that no one, including me, ever makes this mistake. That's why we took sexual harassment courses, to have a clear understanding from a legal point of view and also from a regular-behaviour point of view, of what is accepted and what is not."

The actor and politician's latest apology comes a year after the 'MeToo' movement to curb sexual misconduct and raise awareness about consent swept across the world.
