The singer and his long-term partner welcomed twins Nicholas and Lucy last December and he recently told The Sun newspaper that being parents doesn't mean they no longer have time for one another.
"It's incredible to watch her be such a great mother," he said about Anna.
"It's incredible to watch a mum do what she does, when a mother's instinct kicks in."
Despite being "very happy" with the 37-year-old tennis star, Enrique was honest about family life.
"Like any couple, you still go through your ups and downs and it's not always perfect," he admitted.
The 'Hero" singer also revealed that he and Anna have no plans to tie the knot, as they feel they are already married anyway.
"I've never really thought marriage would make a difference. Maybe it's because I come from divorced parents, but I don't think you love someone more because of a piece of paper. And nowadays it's not taboo to have kids and not be married.
"What makes a difference is that you're a good parent."
