In an interview today, April 27, on 'Loose Women' Matthew said: "We've talked about adoption. We'd definitely consider it when our kids are older and we're a little bit older. It's something we've talked about seriously. You never know. We'd let our kids get a little bit older first before we brought that into the mix."
The Emmerdale co-stars have spoken previously about becoming the legal guardians of a child in need.
The couple have two children together, 7 year old Buster and 2 year old Bowie.
Matthew and Charley got married earlier this year, and the guests were unaware it was happening. The pair told guests they were invited to Charley's 30th birthday party.
They first met on the set of ITV soap Emmerdale.
