The singer revealed the pair had parted ways in a Twitter post on Thursday, April 26.
The pair have three children together, 13 month old twins Gia and Coco, and five year old daughter Arrow.
In his social media post Dan said: "after 7 beautiful years together, Aja and I's marriage has come to an end. Our children continue to be the most important thing in our lives, & we will continue to co-parent them with all our love."
He added: "I ask that you please respect our privacy at this time as we work through this as a family."
Dan and Aja first met in a Las Vegas nightclub in 2010 and married in 2011.
Aja is also a singer best know as the front woman of indie rock band Nico Vegas.
