According to The Mirror, Christine, 29, was unaware of her husband's close relationship with the singer. She is since reported to have told her friend's that the trust she placed in her partner has been broken.
A source is quoted by the publication as saying: "It has absolutely floored her. He didn't tell her he was hanging out with Nicole, she didn't know that they were close.
"Christine knows Paddy is flirty, she has lived through him being on Take Me Out surrounded by hundreds of pretty girls but this is the last straw.
"It is the lying that really upset her. She is heartbroken. The trust has been broken. Her children are her main priority."
Another source is quoted by The Sun as saying: "Christine didn't know Paddy was out with Nicole. She was told he was going out in London with some of his friends.
"She thought his path had crossed with Nicole once or twice but that was it. So it was a shock when she saw the pictures of them together on Sunday morning in the paper.
"Paddy and Christine are furious she has only fuelled speculation by staying silent and has gone abroad – leaving them to publicly deal with the fallout."
Christine and Paddy, 44, tied the knot in 2011 after three years of dating. They have three children together; four-year-old twins Leo and Penelope, and 10-month-old daughter Felicity.
