Speaking to host Lorraine Kelly, the 21-year-old admitted: "I definitely used alcohol as a coping mechanism [after the split]. You drink, let your hair down, have fun. I should have powered through."
Going on to discuss why the couple's relationship "fizzled out", Davies added that she hadn't given up on them reuniting some day.
"I'm not ruling anything out for the future," she said. "[We] need to concentrate on our careers, I need to grow up a lot. I'll always have a special place in my heart for him."
When asked if there was "unfinished business" between the pair, she added: "Yeah, potentially."
Amber and Kem met on reality television show Love Island last year.
