The 57-year-old was appearing on Channel 5's 'In Therapy' when she spoke about the failed relationship, admitting that she fought to try and save the couple's marriage.
Speaking about the moment she discovered her husband was having an affair with a woman half her age, she said: "What happened was the flag went up and I found out what was really going on. I was an emotional mess – a wreck – and we decided not to throw it all away.
"My goodness me, I thought we had done absolutely everything to look at this, to put it right. Hours and hours of conversations. Nobody tried harder to save their marriage. I know I did my best."
She then went on to say that she did not know her husband was still continuing the affair behind her back.
"What I didn't realise was that Grant was doing sleight of hand," Turner explained. "I think it was worse the second time."
Anthea and Grant tied the knot in 2000, having first met two years previously. The couple left their respective partners at the time to start a relationship together. They first separated in 2012 and briefly reconciled before separating for good in 2013. In 2015, they were divorced on the grounds of Bovey's adultery.
