The 'curse' is said to be a trend that has hit a number of celebrities and their dance partners during their time on the dance show. While their off-screen relationships can suffer due to long schedules and close quarters with their on-screen partners, a number of couples have separated during, or shortly after, they have appeared on the show and started a romance with their dance partner.
However, 42-year-old Charlotte has said she and her husband have nothing to worry about.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, she admitted: "One of the things I get asked about most is the 'curse of Strictly', but it's not an issue as we're very happily married."
Her husband, commenting on Charlotte's dance partner for the series Brendan Cole, added: "It's really important they get on. There needs to be quite a bit of chemistry there for their dancing to be good. Brendan is a really nice bloke; I'm very happy with him as a choice."
Charlotte and Mark have been married for nine years. They welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Ella Rose, in 2015.
