Kate Wright has spoken out about her relationship with former footballer Rio Ferdinand.
Her comments come as the reality television star said she was staying out of the limelight in order to focus on her boyfriend and his family.
In an interview with The Sun, the 26-year-old is quoted as saying: "I'm taking a step back from the public eye. I want to keep my life private as I lived my previous relationship on TOWIE. My priority right now is Rio and the family."
Wright's former agent is also quoted by the MailOnline as saying: "Over the past two years we've seen Kate grow into an amazing woman, I'm really super pleased for Kate and proud of her and support Kate's decision as she moves into the next chapter of her life, away from the public eye."
Wright and Ferdinand, 38, confirmed they were dating last month, following weeks of speculation. Ferdinand is a father of three; Lorenz, 11, Tate, nine, and Tia, six, from his former marriage to Rebecca. Rebecca died of breast cancer in 2015.
