Chrissy Teigen has taken to social media to clarify comments made by her husband that he tried to end their relationship over a decade ago – only the model refused.
In a recent interview with The Guardian newspaper, singer John Legend revealed that he was on tour at the time and he realised that he would be better off if he remained single.
He said: "I was really stressed and busy. I was just like, 'I'd just be happier single right now'."
However, taking to Twitter, 31-year-old Teigen has now clarified her husband's comments, explaining: "It wasn't a a typical breakup. He was on tour and his voice hurt and he was being a whiny face about everything and so yeah, I was like 'no'."
Chrissy and John, 38, first met in 2007 and became engaged in December 2011. They married in Como, Italy, in September 2013. Their daughter, Luna, was born in April 2016.
