According to reports, the woman – who has not been named – was on a first date with Liam Smith, a student at the University of Bristol when the situation unfolded.
It is understood the couple had returned to Mr Smith's house, which he shares with other people, when his date excused herself and went to the bathroom. However, she allegedly then had to retrieve her poo out of the toilet because it "would not flush". In a panic, she decided to through the faeces out of the window, but it did not land in the garden. Instead, it became stuck between two non-opening windows.
The woman told Mr Smith what had happened before she went back to try and retrieve the "offending package", but after climbing in head first after it, she became wedged in between the windows, causing Mr Smith to call the fire brigade.
Speaking to the media, Mr Smith said: "We'd had a really nice evening. We'd had a meal at a well-known chicken restaurant, had a few beers and then gone back to mine for a bottle of wine and a film."
With his date stuck in between the windows, he added: "I was starting to grow concerned, so I called the fire brigade and once they had composed themselves, they set to work removing her from the window."
It is understood the woman was rescued unharmed, but the bathroom window had to be destroyed.
"I'm not complaining, they did what they had to do," Smith explained. "Problem is, I've been quoted north of £300 to replace the window and as a postgraduate student, that is a significant chunk of my monthly budget."
He has now set up a crowdfunding page to recoup the cost of the window and has reportedly exceeded the target.
