At Liverpool Magistrates' Court, it was revealed that McConnell, who is 27, attacked his former partner at her home in Rainhill, Merseyside on 10 March.
The incident occurred after the couple went out for a meal with friends in order to celebrate Davis' birthday.
During the hearing, Miss Davis said that McConnell then went on to a local pub with two of the friends. However, when he returned, he was "out of it" as he had taken cocaine.
While Miss Davis was holding the couple's son, Caben-Albi, she said that her partner grabbed her by the face. He then grabbed the phone from her as she tried to call for help, and pushed her and bit the inside of her arm.
McConnell then left the property, only to return later, and began to kick the doors in an attempt to get into the house. Davis admitted that she let him in because she was afraid that he would break the glass patio doors. McConnell then followed her upstairs and threw her on the bed. He also accused his ex of having affairs.
Davis, meanwhile, denied making a complaint to police – three days after the attack – in a bid to prevent McConnell appearing on reality television show Ex On The Beach.
Her ex told the court that Davis attacked him after she discovered that he had taken cocaine. He said that he pushed her away in self-defence and argued that injuries shown in photos were "self-inflicted".
At an earlier hearing, McConnell pleaded guilty to criminal damage of Miss Davis's property. He is due to be sentenced on Friday, 11 August.
McConnell, 27, and 24-year-old Davis met in 2016 when they both appeared on Celebrity Big Brother. They started dating once the show finished but had a tumultuous relationship over the following months. Shortly after they separated, Davis announced that she was pregnant with McConnell's child. Their son, Caben-Albi, was born earlier this year.
