Chris Pratt and Anna Faris have announced that they are to separate.
The couple first met in 2007 and had been married for eight years.
In a joint statement, they said: "We are sad to announce that we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed.
"Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.
"We still love each other and will always cherish our time together."
Pratt, 38, and 40-year-old Faris married in 2009. They have one child together; a son named Jack.
