Sinn Féin MLA Meagan Fearon welcomed the historic vote in favour of Marriage Equality.
She said: "Following the historic vote in Germany today we now have another of Europe largest countries voting for marriage equality. It is a progressive, forward thinking step and to be welcomed.
"There are now 14 European countries legally recognising and performing marriage for lesbian and gay couples.
"The opposition to marriage equality in the north of Ireland is discriminatory and clearly out of step with the people of these islands and across Europe.
"I am calling on everyone who believes in equality and rights for all to attend the Marriage Equality march in Belfast this Saturday and to send a clear message."

A majority of MPs in Germany have voted to legalise same-sex marriage.Sinn Féin MLA Meagan Fearon welcomed the historic vote in favour of Marriage Equality.
