Earlier this month, former TOWIE star Childs announced that she and Wright were no longer together. Their separation came just six weeks after their daughter Polly was born.
In a following interview, Childs said that she was starting to feel more like her boyfriend's mother than his girlfriend in their relationship. However, Wright has now hit out at the claims, saying that he was not Amy's priority.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, he said: "It's all new to Amy, having a baby, and she's been very tired, particularly after five days in.
"Everything was my fault and I never had a say, so I just kept out of it. I wasn't Amy's priority, other people were. There's a lot of other stuff involved in this split."
He continued: "If Amy feels like I wasn't helping with Polly it was because I've been very busy with work. I'm a tree surgeon and ground worker, so it's dangerous if I'm tired."
Childs, 27, and Wright announced that they were expecting their first child together in October 2016. The couple dated on and off for two years.
