The study was commissioned by gadget and home insurance company row.co.uk and involved 2,000 mothers in the UK with children aged between 0 and 16.
The findings revealed that 23% of mums now spend more than 12 hours every day on gadgets – from mobile phones to laptops and tablets.
54% of mums said that most of this time was spent on various social media platforms, while 33% said they took photos and videos of their children in order so that they could share them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Even with these figures, 62% of mothers were quick to say 'no' when asked if they spent more time on gadgets than with their own children. However, a further 29% did admit that they were unsure.
For 22%, they said they often felt guilty when they are on their phones and not playing with their children, but argued that they also felt like they deserved some 'me' time.

Parents 'Spend More Time Taking Photos Of Children'
A new survey has found that parents spend more time taking photographs of videos of their children and sharing them on social media, than they do actually parenting and spending time with them.The study was commissioned by gadget and home insurance company row.co.uk and involved 2,000 mothers in the UK with children aged between 0 and 16.
