In December 2016, Nolan has suggested that the couple were having marriage difficulties after Fensome said he no longer found his wife to be attractive. Nolan then appeared in Celebrity Big Brother shortly afterwards and spoke about their problems. Upon leaving the CBB house, the 52-year-old confessed that she wanted to work on her marriage to the musician. This resulted in her taking a break from hosting ITV's Loose Women.
On Monday, 10 April, Nolan appeared back on the chat show and took part in a discussion about relationship breaks, when she said: "It does work for a lot of people. If you've come to a bit of a rut, you have to be apart to appreciate what you've got.
"Sometimes you're not appreciating each other and taking each other for granted, and you think the grass is greener on the other side."
She continued: "Actually having that time apart makes you realise 'you know what, I do want to be with that person', and at least when you go back, you know it's because you want to be and not because you feel you have to be. It's a nice feeling. I do think it works for a lot of people."
Nolan and Fensome tied the knot in 2007 and have a 15-year-old daughter together, Ciara. Nolan is also a mother to sons Shane, 28, and Jake, 24, from a former relationship with Shane Richie.
