Alleyne, 21, rose to fame on last year's ITV talent show as part of the band 5 After Midnight and it was during the Judges' Houses stage of the competition when he discovered that he and Johnson were to become parents.
In a new interview with The Sun, the singer has now said that while he is no longer with his girlfriend, they will remain on friendly terms and raise their child together.
He is quoted as saying: "No matter what our relationship status may be, I still consider Sophie to be my best friend. I know she will be the most amazing mother to our son.
"I'm looking forward to us starting a new chapter together as great friends and committed parents to our baby boy. We are both incredibly excited to welcome him into the world together."
