Now, speaking to Shape magazine, the actress explained: "What people don't know about me is that I love being home. Instead of hitting the red carpet, I'd rather be with our girls."
Mendes and Gosling, 36, have two daughters together; Esmeralda, two, and 11-month-old Amada.
