The couple, who started dating at the beginning of 2015, are due to become parents in the Spring.
Speaking on BBC 5 Live's Afternoon edition, 42-year-old Garvey (who is a member of the band Elbow) said: "We've got a baby on the way. I'm just overjoyed, you know? I'm so lucky. It's due quite soon – end of March, beginning of April.
"We are as ready as we can be, considering Elbow are going on tour right up until the due date."
Garvey and Stirling, 39, tied the knot in 2016.
