Morrison is currently in prison for drug related crimes but Goodger faced criticism over the couple's relationship following her appearance on Channel 5's 'In Therapy' series on Wednesday night.
However, after the episode aired, the 30-year-old took to Instagram to share a photo collage of her other half, explaining that parts of her appearance had been "edited".
"My IN THERAPY program is on tonight as 10pm on channel 5. There have been some things said which once edited have came across different to the context in which they were said," she wrote, adding: "My friend @jodiewheelerx has been quoted by newspapers as to saying she thinks Joey is very controlling.
"That's not been said in a bad way but in the way he wants me to conduct myself with regards to the things I talk about and telling me to stick to the gym/diet etc. Which i actually find encouraging.
"He is not controlling as in I am not allowed to do things, as that's what it's been made to look like in articles and headlines (sic)."
She then went on to address his criminal past, writing: "I am also NOT IN NO WAY justifying he's crimes or saying they were acceptable, crime is not acceptable and being in prison is not glamorous or a good thing.
"Some articles have worded it like I say it is. I mean it in the context of he committed a string of drug related offences in 2008 and 2009 over 7, 8 years ago and he has served he's punishment by way of being there since September 2009. He is out this year.
"Also when I explain what he is in prison for its not that what he's in for is good but I'd rather him be judged for what he did rather than all these false inaccurate claims by newspapers even after being sent court and case papers.
"People in the world he was in choose to be involved and they have paid the ultimate punishment with such long prison sentences.
"I think that is so bad as these people didn't make decisions, it's forced upon them. So do not believe all that you read and tar everyone with the same brush.
"Yes crime is wrong, but I also believe people make mistakes and deserve second chances and I hope I don't have to talk about this again."
She concluded her stance by saying she receives "a lot of messages from girls in a similar situation that feel they are being judged by standing by someone away, when actually it shows loyalty and being a forgiving person (sic)."
