The EastEnders actress welcomed her second child – a son named Gene – in November 2016, but only recently revealed the news.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she revealed that she gave birth on 21 November, but shortly after the family went home, they had to return to the hospital when their newborn fell ill.
She said: "He had a nasty cough but the doctors assured me he'd be fine. Then he suddenly went downhill so we rushed him to hospital where he was diagnosed with bronchitis."
Gene had to spend a few nights in hospital on oxygen but was then able to go home with his parents and he is now recovering.
Kellie, 40, and her husband Paul Stocker are also parents to five-year-old Freddy.
