The couple first separated in January 2016, but reunited late last year. However, appearing on This Morning on Wednesday, 11 January, the 28-year-old confirmed that the pair had tried to make their marriage work, but to no avail.
She was asked by host Phillip Schofield: "It didn't work out with Nick a second time, but I hear you haven't ruled out getting back together in the future?"
Jessica responded: "It's very painful. The last year was incredibly difficult but my way of dealing with it is to move forward and look to the future.
"We're not together... It's hard but we really worked and tried to make things work. There has to come a point for your health and happiness where you draw a line under it. We are really amicable though."
Jessica and Nick, 54, started dating in 2009 and tied the knot in September 2012. The couple have one child together, two-year-old son Edwin.
