The 62-year-old also said: "There was a lot of pressure for me because I was Britain's most famous unmarried mother back in 1987. That was the headline, it was scandalous then. I came under a lot of pressure from my employers.
"I was in breakfast TV at the time and was taken out for a very serious lunch, and these guys at the top of the tree of our company put a lot of pressure on me."
She added that she now no longer believes in marriage, and finds it hard to start a romantic relationship, explaining: "I put up a barrier [when it comes to marriage]. I know I do. I don't know why I do that."
Anne and Mike married in 1989, when she was pregnant with their first son Oliver. The television presenter was criticised at the time because of her relationship with Mike – who was married with a child.
He left his wife for Ann and the couple had five children together. Their marriage broke down after Mike had an affair. They divorced in 1999.

Anne Diamond has said that she will never marry again, after admitting she felt 'pressured' into marrying her now ex-husband Mike Hollingsworth. Speaking on ITV's Loose Women, the television presenter said: "I didn't want to get married. I was pressured into it.
