There has been further drama for Cheryl and her ex-husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, following their quickie divorce on Thursday.
According to the MailOnline, after the former couple were granted a decree nisi at the Central Family Court in London, Jean-Bernard asked his estranged wife to return his late mother's ring.
It is understood he gave the family heirloom to Cheryl to celebrate their one-year anniversary, but even after the couple separated, the singer kept it in her possession.
However, yesterday it was reported that Jean-Bernard publicly asked for the ring back.
A source is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "He gave her the jewellery to celebrate 12 months together. It belonged to his mother.
"It is now the 10-year anniversary of her death and he desperately wants it back, but Cheryl still hasn't posted it and has made no effort to return it. He is pretty upset and would like it back."
Now, an insider close to Cheryl has allegedly hit back, saying that she had previously heard nothing from her ex about the ring.
"Cheryl is baffled as to why this request has been made via a newspaper," they added. "JB never asked for the ring back during months of discussions between lawyers. If this story is true and the request is made via their lawyers she will send the ring back immediately. She has not worn the ring since last year."
Another source said: "Since they split up last year, Cheryl has not worn it. She put it in a safe place and totally forgot about it because he has never asked her for it."
Cheryl and Jean-Bernard married in secret in 2014 following a three-month romance. They were last seen together in October 2015 and in January of this year, it was confirmed that the couple had separated.
