Keys was accused of having an affair with his daughter's friend over the weekend.
His wife Julia Keys, who has thyroid cancer, said she was "disgusted" and threatened to divorce him.
However, she has now said: "I am no longer seeking a divorce from my husband."
Writing on Facebook, Keys said: "What an extraordinary 24 hours that has been. It is fair to say that my wife and I have had a fairly turbulent time of late due to many different circumstances.
"It's not easy maintaining a marriage when you're 3,500 miles apart.
"But we're strong, despite our trials, and we have no desire to split up after 34 years together.
"Julia is a wonderful person. She's put up with a lot in her life - the demands placed on her by my work schedules as much as anything else.
"I'm not going into family matters here - so let's leave it at this.
"Julia has issued a statement clearing up many weekend misunderstandings.
"As has been planned for some weeks now, I'm looking forward to seeing Julia once I'm back in the UK next weekend."
