The couple married at The Bridge Church in Otley, West Yorkshire, earlier this month but details about their big day have only been released.
Discussing their wedding with OK! magazine, the 27-year-old Olympic cyclist said: "Our wedding was more important than any bike race or medal. Our wedding was always going to be the most important thing that happened to me this summer."
Armitstead and Deignan, who have been together for two years, were joined on their wedding day by 150 guests.
