In a joint statement, the couple said: "Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. There was never an intent of physical or emotional harm. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gains."
The statement added that Heard, 30, would donate proceeds from the divorce settlement to an undisclosed charity. "Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future," it concluded, with both actors saying they would not be making any further comment.
Heard filed for divorce in May this year, accusing her husband of striking her and throwing a mobile phone during an argument. Depp, 53, has always denied the claims.
The actress had also obtained a temporary restraining order against her partner, but on Tuesday lawyers for Heard filed a motion to dismiss it. The couple's divorce settlement comes just a day before a hearing regarding the restraining order was due to begin.
Heard and Depp were married for almost 18 months.
