Charter Aims To Improve Maternity Services

Additional health trusts have signed up to the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) Caring for You Charter, which aims to improve maternity services for women and babies, by improving the wellbeing of staff.

The campaign was launched in June of this year, and has seen a number of trusts throughout the UK sign up, most recently, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

By signing the Charter, it means that the trust will commit to working with the RCM's health and safety representatives to improve midwives, student midwives and maternity support workers' health, safety and wellbeing at work. In turn, they will be able to provide even better care for women, babies and their families.

Further information regarding the Caring for You campaign can be found here.
