Last month it was revealed that Hiddleston, 35, and 26-year-old Swift were dating. The news came just two weeks after Swift ended her 15-month romance with DJ Calvin Harris. Ever since, Swift has been accused of being unfaithful to her ex, and has also deepened a lengthy feud with Kim and Kanye West, with many commenting that the singer's 'good girl' image has been permanently damaged.
Hiddleston has also found himself thrust even further into the spotlight because of the romance, but he has said he does not believe that it will affect his career.
Speaking to People magazine while at Comic Con at the weekend, he admitted: "I don't know, it comes down to being authentic.
"Everything you do you have to make sure you truly believe in it and as long as you know that, it doesn't matter what anyone else says about it because the nature of being a public figure is that everyone will have an opinion about anything you do, and as long as you know why you've done something and you've committed to it with authenticity then you're okay."
