The actress made the admission in a recent interview with Woman's Day.
Explaining that she was looking for love, the 68-year-old said that she is interested in friendship first, and it would take at least a few dates to see "where the universe takes you".
"I don't care what the younger generation do," she said, "but it's not for me. I'm just not that sort of lady. I like to keep it nice and friendly, but nothing else.
"I call it Tender – I hate Tinder, it's a horrible name."
Wallace, to rose to fame playing 'Pat the Rat' on 80s television show Sons and Daughters, added that she has already been on a half a dozen dates – with varying success. She was matched with two farmers, plus a couple of "not very nice" men who, she said, "just wanted a bit on the side".
However, one of the farmers she was matched with is said to have secured a second date with the actress, because of his good sense of humour.
