The actor, who chose to share the news via Instagram, tied the knot with former Paralympic athlete Aimee Mullins on 1 May.
Sharing a photo of the couple on their wedding day, Friend captioned the snap: "Today is the one-month anniversary of being happily married to @AimeeMullins #ilovemywife (sic)."
His wife also shared a number of photos from their wedding.
On one image she wrote: "Celebrating one beautiful month of being married to my best Friend! The 1st of May was a gorgeous rainy day with (The Most Reverend!) @eatkinsdiet as our Officiant (The Most Divine) @betonyvernon as our Witness... an elopement in the field got moved into the compost shed. Our kind of magical day (sic)."
In another picture, Mullins confirmed the couple had eloped, planning their big day at short notice.
Friend, 34, and 39-year-old Mullins started dating in 2013. They became engaged in December 2014.
