According to Closer Magazine, Mark said he wants to start a family with her to cement their relationship.
Mark believes having a baby will bring them closer together, however she has allegedly suggested the pair spend some time away together.
A source told the publication: "Mark's been keen for a baby ever since they tied the knot, nut Michelle made it clear that she wasn't ready and wanted to wait, which caused a strain."
The pair celebrated their one year anniversary last week.
